24 What a wildly wonderful world, God! You made it all, with Wisdom at your side, made earth overflow with your wonderful creations. 25 Oh, look - the deep, wide sea, brimming with fish past counting, sardines and sharks and salmon. 26 Ships plow those waters, and Leviathan, your pet dragon, romps in them. 27 All the creatures look expectantly to you to give them their meals on time. 28 You come, and they gather around; you open your hand and they eat from it. 29 If you turned your back, they'd die in a minute - Take back your Spirit and they die, revert to original mud; 30 Send out your Spirit and they spring to life - the whole countryside in bloom and blossom. 31 The glory of God - let it last forever! Let God enjoy his creation! 32 He takes one look at earth and triggers an earthquake, points a finger at the mountains, and volcanoes erupt. 33 Oh, let me sing to God all my life long, sing hymns to my God as long as I live! 34 Oh, let my song please him; I'm so pleased to be singing to God. 35 O my soul, bless God! (Psalm 104:24-34, 35b The Message Bible)

Nothing verifies what a wildly wonderful world that we have then to see it in the eyes of a child. We loved the years of discovery of our daughters, now through our grandkids, God has truly made a wildly wonderful world. Our youngest, our grandson Eli, loves the outdoors and loves for Grandpa to carry him (which by the way gets harder and harder as that boy stretches out!) and one day we were admiring the work of the bees on our flowers. One bee flew near me and I swung Eli around yelling, "Don't bite me, bees!" which made him squeal with laughter and he mimicked me saying, "Don't bite me bees!" We later "discovered" rollie pollies which made him marvel at their ability to roll into a ball. I affirm that this is a wildly wonderful world, and I also affirm that God made it all!

Creation was made with God's overflowing wisdom and it blesses those who understand and appreciate that. A trip to the ocean blesses those who know the awesomeness and majesty of the sea. The psalmist knew and he shares, from his favorite pasture, "the deep, wide sea, brimming with fish past counting, sardines and sharks and salmon. Ships plow those waters, and Leviathan, your pet dragon, romps in them." It is a world for the creatures to expect that God will provide for them; at God's presence these creatures gather around Him and would even eat from God's hand. The psalmist also knows that if God turned His back on them, they would die in a minute, and if God took back The Holy Spirit, they would die and return back to the mud from whence they came. But the presence of the Spirit brings life, abundant life, as the psalmist said, "The whole countryside in bloom and blossom." This is the glory of God and may it last forever! God enjoys His creation and He can bring an earthquake with just a look, God can point His finger at the mountains and a volcano can erupt. My role is to sing God's praises, all the time that I can and may our praise be pleasing to God. It is my personal blessing to sing praises to God, nonetheless, "O my soul, bless God!"

Getting back to the children in our lives; you give them a gift and they're happy for about a minute or two. If you're lucky they say thank you. We cannot be the sane way with God. God has given us the great gift of this wildly wonderful world and the least we can do is to say thank you, God in our prayers, our singing, our worship, and more especially our sharing with others. May we set the example of being people who are not shy about showing our gratitude to God. We can bless others with that.

PRAYER: Awesome God, for all You have shred with us in the gift of sunrises, sunsets, flowers, gardens, beaches, mountains, cloud formations, we are blessed by You; may we not be shy about showing you our thanks; in Christ Jesus we pray, amen.

Have a great and blessed day in the Lord. YOUR CALL TO ACTION: Take a moment or two to give thanks to God for all God has shared with you!

Receive my blessings of love and joy,
